Ingredients
- 3–4 Granny Smith apples
- 1 bag soft caramels
- 2 tablespoons milk or cream
- Chopped peanuts, sprinkles, or crushed graham crackers
- Toothpicks
Instructions
- Wash apples and cut them into bite-sized chunks. Pat dry completely.
- Insert a toothpick into each chunk and place on a parchment-lined tray.
- In a small saucepan, melt caramels with milk over low heat, stirring until smooth.
- Dip each apple piece into caramel, then roll in toppings (peanuts, sprinkles, etc.).
- Place on tray and chill in fridge for 15–20 minutes to set.
- Serve cold or at room temperature. Best enjoyed the same day.
Chef’s Note: Make sure apples are very dry so caramel sticks well. These make a great treat for fall gatherings or kid-friendly dessert boards.
